And someone else will buy them instantly. If you liked the Colts during Peyton’s time and you should like Ballard. He has the same approach as Polian in paying his own that fit our system and building the team by targeting players that fit our system. Like him or not Ballard has a philosophy and he has stuck too it. That is the sign of a man that is comfortable in his job, isn’t going to overreach or make stupid rash decisions. The Irsay family loves him. Like it or not he isn’t going anywhere.

I been with the Colts since they moved here and endured 1-15 seasons. The difference between Polian and Ballard is that Pian drafts were a lot better than Ballard's

Plenty of holes in this roster CB being one but we need an experience one and not another rookie. Still need a play making WR and TE. Also need more safety help. I would love for them to be able to pick Bowers but probably won't be there. Still wished that Ballard would have swung for the fences last year and moved up to the first pick and picked Stroud.

One of the more confusing posts you've made, impressive.

I get it, you like Ballard and think he has done a good job. We just disagree on this and we won't change. I just think you are in the minority with that opinion. I just don't understand how anyone who looks at his record over the 7 years think he has done a good job and still should have his job. Most didn't like Grigson, me included but he did go 11-5 in his first 3 seasons and made the tne playoffs each year.

If he has lost an ounce of explosiveness he is nil...

Agree.  He's not one to underestimate though.  He's not going to break one for 80+, but I've seen him rip off several 40-50 yarders.  I could see them using him as a feature back for one year and finding someone to platoon him with after that.  He'd make a great third down back.

You say we have holes at corner, we don't. Safety was mostly filled yesterday, we have 5 safeties on the roster.

You say we should have swung for Cj Stroud, literally the Texans drafted before us... wasn't gunna happen. Absolutely a wasted exercise

The GM puts players on the roster, they don't coach the games, they don't throw the pass, make the kicks, or tackle people. Heres is the disconnect--- it's laughable to credit Grigson on any 11-5 seasons lol that was Andrew Luck, Robert Mathias, Reggie Wayne, and TY Hilton doing that work.

Last year Mixon finished 8th in rushing last year and Diggs was 7th in receiving. They combined for 17 TD's and that is a huge upgrade. You out that with the two WR they already have and that makes the Texans one of the favorites in the AFC.

Right now I would put the Colts third in the South but the Titans have made some good upgrades as well with Pollard, Ridley and Snead.

A) Can we at least all agree that thank god he isn't Grigson?

B) Lots of successful GMs had worse drafts than Polian.  Holding a GM up against Bill Polian is like holding a QB up against Brady or Montana.

I see a need for upgrades at that position. Our pass defense was horrible last year and we gave up way to many huge plays. Do we have bodies at that position yes but why not try to get better at those positions.

I said we should have traded up to the first pick to pick Stroud but Ballard is scared to make a big splash

I think DE is more likely than T. But agree with the bold a lot...

If you can move back, and get a 2nd rd out of it, I would think that would be too inciting not to.

I am out on Bowers, I don't really see the need, and I am not sold he translates to the NFL.

I think we can do fine at TE with what we have. Not sure I want to invest that much in one especially when I think Woods has potential to be a great player if he gets it together.

Not sure a DE worthy will be there at 15 that will be worthy…I think the 2-3 rated high will be gone….but that second tier should be in the mid to late 20s. Wouldn’t be opposed for sure…I think a couple top corners will be there but we just don’t value those that high in Bradley defense…so hard to say what we do.

That said, Diggs is more of a sure bet than Mixon.  The reason the Bengals didn't extend/trade him was because of his age/mileage.  When RBs drop off, they drop off FAST.

Grigson had a lot better record than Ballard and at least tried to upgrade the roster. Also it is easier to resign your own when you are signing all pros like Polian did.

This is crazy.

Yeah with rookie, injured corners. Flowers, Brents healthy. Brents, Jones NOT rookies.

I could see corner... but I see no need for Bowers at all.

Please to go give one decent example of Grigson trying to upgrade the roster.....

Weird one for sure because the Texans WR core is already so good. Given Diggs trouble in Minny and Buffalo I'm not sure I'd want that in my lockerroom....but no denying his talent. If he keeps his head on straight Houston could and will be very, very dangerous.

One other thing though. I know some will say addition by subtraction...but Buffalo and Josh Allen. That window is closing rapidly if not already there. They better have a plan to find some talent on the outside because they've already asked the world of Allen now this.

He might be atrocious but he is better than Ballard. Ballard's drafts has been descent at best and has had to many misses early in the draft

I just think he wants quantity over quality when it comes to drafting. I hate that he trades back so often especially early in the draft. I would rather have 1 elite player than getting two good players. He has trade out of the first round twice to get more draft picks and that didn't work out. Once we got Rock Ya Sin which was a bust.

Wanting the Colts to trade for #1 last year, with what the Panthers gave up for CJ Stroud instead of Anthony Richardson is wild.

Again go get the best instead of settling for the leftovers. Also it would cost less to go from 4th to first than you g from 9th.

I thought Houston got a steal.

Houston gets Diggs, 2024 6th round, 2025 5th round

Bills gets 2025 2nd round pick

He signed plenty of free agents, not all hit but he took some swings unlike Ballard.

THEY ALL SUCKED. Do you realize his F'ing OL signings are the reason Andrew Luck isn't our QB still? Cmon on man. What the heck. HE WAS AWFUL.

He isn't better than Ballard. He ruined Luck's career. Ballard drafts very well. He's had very few misses early in drafts.

1 elite player? When have we passed on elite players... like Deforest Buckner, JT, and Nelson? Those elite players?
