  1. I’m between 3-4. I’m thinking he MIGHT deserve another year and prob gets another year, but I’m leaning towards the fact he shouldn’t get another year. I am teetering bc I don’t know what’s best for next year.

Sorry, just giving a reason for why I voted the way I did. I won’t debate it. 😂

It's the only game of the year that I won't be able to watch, so I'm sure it will be a win.

I truly hope it is. Contrary to some beliefs, I’m not rooting for failure. Shit, I’m driving two and a half hours on Tuesday night to go to the game. 🥴 Certainly not going to root for a loss.

You're not wrong.  The man does most likely know more about basketball than the whole of this forum combined.  Does that mean it translate to coaching.  I think the Jury might still be out on that one.

Yes, the man should know more than us (not disputing that), but it’s not translating. We see the same mistakes over, and over, and over, and over again with no adjustments or accountability.

Facts are facts, and no matter how many times someone presents them to you, you ignore them...

You dispute that Mike Woodson knows more about basketball than anyone on here? Really? Because that was the only statement I made about his knowledge. And that's kind of undeniable...As for posting off topic, show me where...Dissenting is not "off topic." You don't want a debate...You want absolute agreement...You're not going to get it here without rolling out a few facts to back them up...

If you don't "give two shits" about my opinion, then why even read anything I post?

Facts are facts ….. yet, you rarely use them (except in your pregame breakdowns). 😂 Again, deflected the previous post about grouping people together.

Reading comprehension …. “You dispute…”. No I didn’t say anything about him knowing more or less. Its was the quote you’ve used over and over. I said nobody cares. Just bc he knows more doesn’t mean he can coach (that’s the argument most use). But that’s your response to everything. If you don’t want to debate what’s being said, don’t comment, but posting that crap over and over is worthless.

No interest in arguing with you at all, but along with your repetitive comment about Woodson knowing more, many of your posts recently have been direct criticisms of people or groups of people on this board. You think it’s your personal job to defend Woodson at every turn. Defend away, just don’t insult. Speaking about comprehending, you don’t understand what “debate the post, not the poster” means, or you refuse to abide by it.

I try not to read your crap, but again the 💩 is all over every thread littering them up with the same comments or attacking somebody else’s opinions as ignorant. But hey, you make sure the dissenting “opinions” and mob mentality (whatever that is on this board) do not prevail. What a worthy cause that is. 😉

You can have the last words. Idc. I’m sure they will be riveting with facts. I’m also sure most don’t want to read the bickering, so I’m done. The apathy is about the same as it is with your idol.

Your reading needs a little work...

"Some of you" which means you (bitching about Woody getting into Galloway) and includes the people you follow around and agree with...

Your goal seems to be to quiet anyone who has an independent thought outside of the current mob mentality...And you'll fail...Guarantee you that...

Whose reading comprehension is challenged? If you group me in with “some of you” you’re speaking of me correct? I refuted the two points you made saying that doesn’t include me, so keep trying to deflect, you do it in every post.

I think you got the roles reversed. I don’t give two shits what your opinion is, when you give it. But the problem is it’s never on topic and you clutter up every thread following negative comments that pretty much just include ……

“MIKE WOODSON KNOWS MORE THAN ANYBODY ON THIS BOARD AND IS A GREAT MAN ACCORDING TO PEOPLE THAT KNOW HIM.”

So who’s trying to quiet other people? Nobody cares. Great value to the board. I’m sure your response will be … “well you guys” blah, blah, blah. If you want to debate my comments, debate them with some originality. I’m sure you’ll struggle to find the few comments I make because they’re littered with your reiterations.

It just goes to show how petty some of you have become in this quest to get Mike Woodson fired...Worried about insignificant stuff like who he gets into with no context, or where Armond Hill sits on the bench...Or "partying" 🤣 after a loss...Talk about exhausting...

But, following seems to fit you best, so you go...

Get your facts straight …. I don’t recall ever saying a word about Armond Hill, nor do I care about what he does. Also don’t recall ever making comments about partying. But at all cost in defending Woodson, just throw 💩 against the wall and hope it sticks. If your goal is to clutter the board with fantasy and annoy people, you’re doing well. The circus seems to fit you best, so carry on….

Yeah, I saw that too... But I've seen him lay into a few players this year... Not like he reserves it for just a few...

A lot of people call it coaching...

Good lord you’re beyond exhausting with some of your nonsense. We’ve all seen him lay into players. Nobody said he reserved it for just Gallo. But we did say that we’d be ripping into other players before Gallo. Tough for you to understand because you’re so blinded by your constant desire to defend him at every turn. This wasn’t really about anybody, just an observation. I doubt it was coaching though bc he hasn’t done much of that this year.

  8. Women looked good. They can really shoot it. So much more fun watching more of a 1 in, 4 out type offense, or at least having four on the floor at the same time that can play the perimeter.

Clark had an off night, but man she can play. Almost had a triple double anyway. Her passing ability is unreal. Definitely the best women’s player I’ve ever seen.

I was embarrassed for the officials in this game. What a horrid job they did.

IU has three players with a motor.  Woody ripped one of them in half late in the game and you could see it really bother him.

    Rip KW

    Rip MR

Don't rip the one dude out there giving it all despite his limited skill set.

We don’t know why he was ripping him, but I was thinking something similar. Plenty of guys I’d be ripping before Gallo.

If you fire Woody, there’s probably only one coach you could hire that could get him to IU…

You seriously think that? Kid comes from an Indiana family. I guarantee others could be appealing as well. If it was all about Shrewsberry he would have committed to Notre Dame by now.

  11. We just gave up 51 points (9 threes) in the first half at home to Nebraska. I’ve not been very vocal about firing Woodson but this is flat out unacceptable and embarrassing. Defense is mostly about effort and commitment, and this team is showing none of either. I could live with struggling to score as long as they busted their rears on D. This is like the 25th game and not only is the performance worse than day 1, but the effort is too. How can that happen at this point? WE’RE GETTING DRUBBED AT HOME BY A TRAM WHO HASN’T WON ON THE ROAD IN THE BIG10!  Woodson shouldn’t make it out of the building with his job.

Big ten refs had a bad game here. there are more.

IMO what looks bad for him is that he wasn’t in a natural position when the collision happened. To me it looked like was bending his knees and falling backwards prior to the contact. I would have preferred a play-on …..regardless, most officials stink.

Just saying what he has done hasn't help either so make a change to see if it helps. Basketball players don't need the same kind of workouts as football players.  There to be to much emphasis on weight training over working on agility and other things basketball players need to work on.

I’m certain they do agility stuff, but get your point.

Not going to add much, but will add that I agree that Malik was awful. I'm flabbergasted it took so long for Woodson to notice, because this game was far from an outlier for him, but he was awful.

    • Malik has had an ORtg below 100 in 6 of 13 conference games, I cannot fathom why anyone would think him as our primary option is a good idea, and when you consider how poor Malik is in other areas it is even more troublesome.
    • We scored 25 of our points in the 6 minutes after Malik fouled out, we've seen other stretches having two bigs is a bad idea this year
    • The play when it was 40-38 was one of the worst plays I've ever seen, and I'm not sure I wouldn't have sat Malik for the rest of the game after that because it was just the worst example of the selfish crap he has done all year.
      • For those that need a reminder, Mgbako had just hit a three, then we got a transition look where Trey quickly entered to Malik. Mgbako was WIDE OPEN 7' from Malik on the wing, directly in front of his face. Malik instead dribbled into the middle then forced an absolutely awful pass inside for a turnover. He has done similar things repeatedly all year. He is a selfish basketball player.
    • Among Big Ten players with a usage over 24%, Malik ranks 13th out of 15 in ORtg.
    • Among Big Ten players with a usage over 20% he ranks 34th out of 43.

The fact that we've forced things through him all year and he's had no repercussions for his selfish play is just another big problem. We post up anywhere from the 96th to the 98th percentile every year under Woodson, so I guess it isn't shocking.

I’ve been saying he was selfish all year. I could prob live with some of that on offense if I knew he busted his rear end on the defensive end and on the boards. But since he doesn’t, just looks like to me that he’s just worried about getting his. 🤷🏻‍♂️ We can blame it on the lack of shooters all we want, but that’s just an excuse.

How is the the strength coach irrelevant since we all see his work all summer. If he is irrelevant then why show all of the videos of guys working out and showing before and after pictures. He hasn't helped with winning so try something different in this position.

Clif Marshall is not part of the problem. He’s not the guy recruiting, or the guy running practice.
