Come to IU…we can get you to the USFL.

Yeah, that really catches recruits' attention.

CTA:  "Son if you come to IU I think I can have you playing LB for Pittsburgh in 4 years."

Recruit:  "Really Coach?  I have always been a Steeler fan and my dream is to be in the NFL."

CTA:  "Son, have you ever heard of the Maulers?"

Ft Wayne is like wide receiver city.  Ton of receivers come out of there.

yes, and unfortunately, IU rarely is in on those guys.

The late James Hardy and Demarlo Belcher are the only two I can think of in quite a while. Meantime, several kids have gone to Ohio State, Northwestern, and other places.

Can someone explain what was wrong with the 2nd two picks?

I only wanted one of Brents/Porter. Wanted Hyatt but wasn't convinced he was a true slot, which Downs is.

Nothing was wrong with any of the Colts moves. I wanted Ballard gone, but he crushed this draft - IF and only IF, AR pans out.

I just couldn't believe anyone on here knew that much about Julius Brents and others to be upset.

Could be, we'll see. I wanted either. We were genius to trade back and get 2-3 extra picks out of it.

Yeah if you have 5 guys you would be happy with, trade back a few spots and still get 1 of them. Especially if you think there are going to be players left in the 4th and 5th round.
