I read that UH has had the most APR failures of any D1 college (i'll find the source, but they've not met the standard 8 times since APR started in 2011). So it sounds like Kelvin hasn't learned his lesson (and I know he's only been there since 2015)...

I'm not questioning the character of the players as much as I'm showing that Kelvin Sampson has no real interest in what those players can do for him beyond the basketball floor. He damn sure didn't at Indiana...

So your kids aren't learning anything from you? You don't think your actions are the partially a roadmap toward their adult life?

And of course people in some instances want to be different from their parents in a multitude of ways...It's not exclusive to "people Kellen’s age and younger." My father didn't really value education. He had to drop out of school at 13 to support his mother, as his father had passed away. His idea, was to get a job, work your way up the chain, and you'd be successful..That didn't work for me or overall for my generation...So, I went a different path. But.my Dad was above all an honest and moral man...I try hard to keep that part...

My point with Kellen Sampson is, he learned many things from his father, and one of them was running a D1 basketball program...Maybe he would put more emphasis on their education and growth as men...But his Dad sure didn't...and, as I said before, if he was under consideration and I was doing the hiring, he'd know the expectations, and the ramifications if he failed to meet them...

That's a bummer about the APR, all I knew is that they hadn't lost eligibility because of it.

And I'd hope that any candidate would have a clear understanding of expectations before taking a job, no matter their last name.

Sounds like a great candidate for Kensucky when they get tired of Calimari, they don’t seem to care about education! Maybe even NC when they realize promoting from within isn’t the answer!

Probably more noteworthy for football, but Texas and Oklahoma agree to pay a total of $100 million dollars to exit the Big 12 after this upcoming season (2023-24)...

BYU, Central Florida, Cincinnati, and Houston will be added to the Big 12 for the upcoming season.

Part of the money will go to Fox Sports as compensation for lost Oklahoma and Texas football games...

The last 30 seconds of the X/Butler game was a comedy of errors.

A timeout by Nunge when they were out.

Butler gave a foul up 2, thinking they were up three.

Then the goaltend the last play, which to me was more about it being a dumb play by X than anything. The defender grabbed the rim, what’s he thinking?

If it's hazing it must be something really, really over the top which means staff might have known it was going on and didn't put a stop to it. Coach Greg Heiar had stops at Wichita St and with our good old buddy strong a-- offer Will Wade at LSU. Not necessarily programs that were the bastion of clean.

Combine those things with incident earlier this year i.e. kid getting shot. Maybe this was the final incident so university can legally get themselves out of hot water and fire him??
