Is that his wife he is out recruiting with? the last recruiting photo he was out with family. I wonder if she said we need to sign the kid. Woody must not like his assistants or their thoughts on recruits.

Disappointing end to this kids season. Guess he's been battling a back injury. They tried everything leading up and during the game yesterday and nothing worked.

Yeah his backs pretty messed up. Hurt it before the season started, can't remember exactly what it is but something is fractured I know that.

Yep. I've been hesitant to bring it up because I don't want a kid to get tagged with that but I hope it's something that can get fixed. Back problems for such a young kid isn't good.

First I’ve heard I’m out of the loop…is this something that will get fixed with rest or something long term??

I have heard this had been going on most the of the year but it isn't a back injury. What I have heard it is more to do with something with his growth plate. It is more in his hip and thigh area and it really isn't an injury.

Feel bad for the kid. Awful timing.

Julius Gizzi is another 2025 to keep an eye on, even if it’s as a future transfer if he starts out at a smaller school. Scorer with great bloodlines - Mom and dad both played at LaSalle.

I have very tight hamstrings and they pull on my pelvis which tilts my hip slightly…throws my lower back out of alignment and in my case causes severe sciatica pain after years of issue. Haven’t found any real fix for this…lots of stretching every day (yoga some say)…strengthen abs/core…strengthen back muscles…stay hydrated etc etc.  If that is his case…probably won’t go away…will have to manage it rest of his life id assume as I’ve found nothing to fix it.

Had a subluxation of the 5th lumbar

Unbearable pain

ended my basketball career 🥱

Didn’t really have a lot of issues up through college…couple bad days here in there…but late 20s started noticing it…then progressed much worse later. Pretty much corresponding at the same time I started losing my abs and wasn’t exercising as much. Strong core and muscles kept things in place for me…once that weakened it got bad fast…then even if I wanted to exercise etc it hurt too much to do so. Keeping weight off helps a lot so I’ve managed that through diet and free weights and walking a bit but I can’t go back to rigerous exercise anymore unfortunately. Seeing a spinal specialist this week. Hoping injections might allow me to be a bit more active. I love sports and outdoor activities but it sucks not being able to do them for any length of time.

That sucks man. Hoping you get help from the specialist.

Well, I’ve got a not so great update on what I’ve heard here. Mullins wants to go to IU, but I’ll be very surprised if it happens with Woodson as the HC. I think all the negative noise around the program and Liam’s decommitment has made it clear that we’re a shit show at the moment. This is from a great source. Even worse, I believe this to be the same case for Sisley. If IU doesn’t fire Woodson, the 25 class will also be a disaster. Just a sad place that we’re in as a program.

Predictable.  The McNeely decommitment is epic and will live in infamy.  It’s not a shrug

On a more positive note compared to my last post, hearing he really enjoyed his visit yesterday. Like I said, I believe Braylon wants to go to IU. I was probably too doom and gloom in the moment saying I'd be "very surprised" if he comes with Woodson as the Head Coach (even though that’s basically how it was described to me). I still feel if we continue to put the proper work I believe we will have a strong chance regardless, but I do think this recruitment will be more difficult than I thought it would be a couple months ago with our recent struggles and overall negativity that we're all aware of surrounding the program. Bottom line is, this staff should be able to land him with how much he likes IU, which has been the case for a while.
